City of Goldsboro issued the following announcement on Jul. 26. 

We are accepting applications for Goldsboro Youth Council. Serving on the Youth Council provides students with valuable leadership and community service experience. The Youth Council is open to 9th- through 12th-graders at Charles B. Aycock High School, Eastern Wayne High School, Goldsboro High School, Rosewood High School, Southern Wayne High School, Spring Creek High School, Wayne Early Middle, Wayne School of Engineering, Wayne Country Day, Wayne Preparatory, Wayne Christian, and local home schools.

The deadline to apply is Aug. 30. The application is available at: https://www.goldsboronc.gov/…/GYC-Application-FY21-22
