City of Goldsboro Police Department issued the following announcement on July 11.

Members of the Goldsboro Police Department and the Optimist Club of Goldsboro will be hosting a “Bike Rodeo” and “Fill the Cruiser” event in the Lowe’s parking lot at 1202 N. Berkeley Blvd on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 10am – 2pm.

Bicycles will be provided to children to use during the event, who do not have a bicycle.

The “Bike Rodeo” is designed to teach kids all about safety while riding their bicycles, and the “Fill the Cruiser” is designed to fill the police vehicle up with school supplies to be distributed to the children in the community.

Also, Lowe’s of Goldsboro will be hosting a Kid’s DIY Workshop, which is a fun and easy project for the kids to take part in.
