CITY OF GOLDSBORO: Zoom Recording and Backup Audio of Work Session and Regular Meeting from 02-07-2022

City of Goldsboro issued the following announcement on Feb 8.

This is the zoom recording and backup audio of the work session and regular meeting from 02-07-2022.  Due to an equipment failure, there were several sound interruptions during Monday’s work session and Council meeting. The City has been aware of these issues, which began during the Jan. 10 meeting. Following that Jan. 10 meeting, new streaming equipment was purchased. This equipment was tested and used with no issues for a couple of meetings. During the Feb. 7 meeting, this new replacement equipment also failed. The Information Technology Department has again ordered new streaming equipment, which should arrive this week. Once the equipment arrives, we will run several test streams to ensure that it is working properly before the March 7 Council meeting. In addition to the new replacement streaming box, there will also be a backup box to ensure that sound can be restored quickly in the event of any future issues. The meeting will also be recorded independently of the streaming feed so that an uninterrupted video can be posted after the meeting ends.
