City of Kinston issued the following announcement on Dec. 9.
Congratulations to the Fall 2021 graduating class of Kinston 101! This fall’s cohort had 14 graduates, all incredible citizens and community leaders who have spent the last 10 weeks learning about City operations and spending time with our city leaders.

Kinston 101 is a 10 week program that shares information with citizens about city operations while increasing their capacity to participate in local government. Each week, participants learn about a new city department from its Director. Participants visit city parks, create a mock city budget, tour the wastewater treatment plant, and more! Kinston 101 is for any resident interested in how the city works and how public decisions are made!
