County of Duplin issued the following announcement on Feb. 28.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to NCGS 158-7.1(c) that a public hearing will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 6:00pm in the Duplin County Commissioner’s Room of the County Administration Building, 224 Seminary Street, Kenansville, NC. 

The purpose of the hearing is to consider an Economic Development Incentive Agreement with Project Freeze, which would provide a required match equivalent to five percent (5%) of the proposed NC Commerce state grant amount. 

The company anticipates to expand their current business and create 19 new jobs in Duplin County. 

The County welcomes public comments before decided on an intent to approve.
