County of Lenoir issued the following announcement on Feb. 24.

The Lenoir County Manufacturers Association (LCMA) met today at the Crown Equipment Corporation. Attendees heard from Ron Burgin, plant manager, on the recent expansion into the former Lenox China outlet facility.

Expansion plans were announced in February 2021 and are ongoing. Reshoring efforts have given an even greater purpose for the expansion. After the luncheon and meeting, a tour of the Crown facilities followed.

Mark Pope, Senior Vice President of the NC Global TranPark Economic Development Region, shared the news on recent economic activity within Lenoir County.

Next, Kendi Davis discussed the upcoming RIME Expo on April 26 and the need for sponsors. Next, Julie Graham promoted the Wayne County Wings Over Wayne Event on May 20 and invited regional industry leaders to attend.

Also, Mark noted Lenoir County’s continued partnership with the NC Global TransPark Economic Development Region and the great strides made there.

LCMA thanks Crown Equipment Corporation for hosting our meeting and Nana’s Catering for the delicious meal!

We look forward to seeing everyone again soon!
