County of Lenoir issued the following announcement on Sept. 19.
Sheriff Ronnie Ingram and the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office are the first in the State to Issue plastic credit card style Concealed Handgun Permit Cards to our citizens with permits. Each new permit holder and anyone that renews will receive a plastic card going forward.
Current Permit Holders…Don’t be disappointed – If you are a current permit holder, you do not have to wait for renewal.
You can get a plastic style card before renewal for the cost of a duplicate which is $20.00 plus any fees.
If you are interested in this card, you can come into our office, complete the appropriate forms and turn in your paper card for a new plastic one.
