COUNTY OF WAYNE: Chip Crumpler Sworn In as The New County Manager

County of Wayne issued the following announcement on July 1.

It’s official! Chip Crumpler has officially been sworn in as the new county manager of Wayne County. Chip began working for Wayne County in the Planning Department on June 1, 2000. He was later promoted to planning director and was named assistant county manager in February 2018.

The Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on June 7th to appoint Chip to the county manager position replacing Craig Honeycutt who accepted a position with the City of Burlington and had his last day with us yesterday.
