County of Wayne issued the following announcement on June 27.

The following schedule changes will be taking place this week in observance of Independence Day:

  • County of Wayne Government Offices closed Monday, July 4, 2022. Offices will re-open Tuesday, July 5, 2022 for normal business hours.
  • All branches of the Wayne County Public Library closed Monday. Library branches will be open on Tuesday for normal business hours.
  • The Peggy M. Seegars Senior Center will be closed Monday. The Senior Center will be open on Tuesday for normal business hours.
  • The Wayne County landfill and convenience centers will be closed Monday. The landfill and convenience centers will re-open Tuesday for normal business hours.
  • The Wayne County Animal Shelter will be closed Saturday and Monday. The Animal Shelter will re-open Tuesday for normal business hours.
