County of Wayne issued the following announcement on Jan. 15.

The following schedule changes will be taking place next week in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day:

  • County of Wayne Government Offices closed Monday, January 17, 2022. Offices will re-open Tuesday, January 18, 2022 for normal business hours.
  • All branches of the Wayne County Public Library closed Monday. Library branches will be open on Tuesday for normal business hours.
  • The Peggy M. Seegars Senior Center will be closed Monday. The Senior Center will re-open Tuesday for normal business hours.
  • The Wayne County Landfill and convenience centers will be closed Monday. The landfill and convenience centers will re-open Tuesday for normal business hours.
  • The Wayne County COVID-19 vaccine clinic will be closed Monday. The clinic will re-open Tuesday for normal business hours.
