COUNTY OF WAYNE: Fire Marshal Has Issued a Burn Ban

County of Wayne issued the following announcement on Dec. 1. 

The Wayne County Fire Marshal has issued a Burn Ban for Wayne County effective Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. until further notice. This ban prohibits open-burning within any unincorporated area within Wayne County due to dry conditions, high winds, and low humidity values this week. Yesterday, the N.C. Forest Service issued a similar ban statewide due to hazardous conditions.
