COUNTY OF WAYNE: Joe Daughtery and Chairman Wayne Aycock Nominated By Board of Commissioners

County of Wayne issued the following announcement on Dec. 9. 

Today, Commissioner Joe Daughtery was nominated by the Board of Commissioners to serve as the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners and Chairman Wayne Aycock was nominated to serve as the vice-chairman for the next year.

Chairman Daughtery was elected to the Wayne County Board of Commissioners in December 2012 to serve District 6. Daughtery has resided in Walnut Creek for almost 30 years. He is married to Joyce, and together they have three children. An experienced businessman, he founded Tarheel Housing Center, Inc., a modular and manufactured home retailer, in 1982. 

We would like to congratulate Chairman Daughtery on his nomination and thank our now Vice-Chairman, Mr. Wayne Aycock, for continuing to serve in a leadership capacity.
