County of Wayne issued the following announcement on Mar. 9.

This week is North Carolina Severe Weather Preparedness Week. With warmer weather quickly approaching, now is the time to prepare for the severe weather season. The Statewide Tornado Drill will take place tomorrow at 9:30 AM. Every school, business, workplace, and family across the state is strongly encouraged to participate in this drill.
