Wayne County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Marc Whichard has presented a $207 million proposed budget for fiscal year 2026-2027. The plan emphasizes safety measures, facility needs, educational programs and invites public feedback before final approval in May.
The Wayne County Board of Education will hold its next regular meeting on April 14 in Goldsboro. The agenda will be posted online and the public can watch live streams via YouTube or Spectrum Cable.
