Hogfarm

On Feb. 6, in sharing a Facebook post from the North Carolina Pork Council, state Rep. Chris Humphrey (R-Lenoir) welcomed two new members to the North Carolina Pork Council and welcomed back two reelected members to the state’s Pork Council Board of Directors.

Those members include Jim Lynch of Goldsboro, who will serve as the president of the board of directors and Lorenda Overman, also of Goldsboro, who was elected vice president of the board of directors. Clinton resident Josh Coombs, Wallace resident Christina Phillips and Michael Inman Sr. of Tar Heel were all elected to represent District 4. Jay Foushee of Roxboro was reelected to represent District 1.

There are 17 representatives of the four districts in addition to industry representatives, the board of directors, national representatives and ex officio members. The board of directors will be featured and each member profiled in the next edition of the North Carolina Pork Report.
