Duplin County issued the following announcement on June 26.
Duplin County’s total cumulative number of laboratory confirmed positive COVID-19 cases has increased to 1,446 residents. Of those confirmed positive cases, 182 are currently in isolation, and 1,232 have met clinical criteria to be released from isolation. Additionally, there are 353 COVID-19 pending tests.
Duplin County has had four additional deaths over the last week, bringing the county’s total to 32 fatalities related to COVID-19. Of the four most recent fatalities, one decedent was in the age range of 50-64, two decedents were in the age range of 65-74, and the fourth decedent was older than 75. To protect the families’ privacy, no further information about the individuals will be released.
If you leave your house, remember the 3Ws – wear a cloth face covering, wait 6 feet apart to avoid close contact, and wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer.
