Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Wayne Community College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Wayne Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

North Carolina residents paid $2,524 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-resident students would have paid 243.4 percent more than residents this year, or $8,668. Non-resident tuition and fees were unchanged from $8,668 in 2017-18.

100 percent of the school's undergraduate population are North Carolina residents.

Data shows 63 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 238 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.4 million and 6 students took out student loans totaling more than $72,856.

Including all undergraduates (3,238), 1,396 students used grants or scholarships totaling $2.7 million.
