State Rep. Chris Humphrey (R-Lenoir) released a video to Facebook discussing the efforts he has made for his constituents in Lenoir and Pitt counties. | State Rep. Chris Humphrey Facebook
Rep. Chris Humphrey (R-Lenoir) recently released a video discussing the efforts he has gone to in representing his constituents in the North Carolina House of Representatives but noting that he feels honored to serve.
"It is an honor to serve the citizens of Lenoir and Pitt counties in the [North Carolina] House." Humphrey wrote in a Sept. 8 Facebook post that accompanied the video. "As your representative, it is my goal to make a difference for the people of Eastern NC and promote policies that help those in need."
In the video, Humphrey discussed the efforts of the General Assembly that he participated in to offer relief during the early days of the COVID-19 crisis. He also touched on millions in funding he helped to secure for rural broadband access.
"Having been born and raised in Eastern NC, I understand our area's needs and will not stop fighting to make sure we have a voice at the table!" Humphrey wrote in his post.
Humphrey, a Republican, is running for re-election in District 12 against Democratic challenger Virginia Cox-Daugherty.
