CLINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT: Community Health Day

Checkupbp

Clinton Police Department issued the following announcement on Aug. 11.

The Clinton Police Department will be participating and have a prescription take-back location set up. Remember, no sharps will be accepted.

The Sampson County Health Department, assisted by various county departments and local health agencies, will be hosting a community health day event on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Sampson Community College, 1801 Sunset Avenue, Clinton, NC. The free family-friendly event will run 1 pm – 5 pm and will include food trucks, bounce houses, live entertainment and a DJ, music, health screenings, and a COVID vaccination station.

The purpose of the event is to simply provide a safe, family-friendly environment for us all to be able to enjoy community again, while also encouraging everyone to do their part in fighting against COVID and ensuring we are all safe. The event will provide various health screenings, and Moderna, Pfizer, and J&J vaccines to unvaccinated persons. The Sampson County Health Department understands the importance of increasing vaccination numbers as we begin to see less restrictions throughout the state and nation; therefore, we will continue to make sure the public has access to the vaccines and are continuously educated as we proceed ahead.
