Clinton Police Department issued the following announcement on Sep 10.
On 9/10/2021 at approx. 1:10pm officers responded to the Sampson Middle School after receiving information of a subject armed with a gun.School officials immediately placed the school into lockdown. Investigation revealed that the subject that reported the information to authorities had received messages from a student at school that was found to be non-credible. Officers have cleared the school, staff and students are safe.
