Wayne County Public Schools issued the following announcement on Jan. 27.
This is an important weather announcement from Wayne County Public Schools:
Due to the threat of icy conditions Friday evening, all after school programs and school sponsored events have been canceled for Friday, January 28. No changes to the school day or hours of operation are expected at this time. After school programs and activities that are canceled will include scheduled athletic practices and competitions, 4-H programs, tutoring, staff meetings, PTA meetings, parent nights, etc. All campuses will remain closed to students, faculty, and the general public this weekend.
