City of Goldsboro issued the following announcement on May 16.
In preparation for NC Freedom Fest, the following streets will be closed at 12 p.m. Saturday, May 21:
■ Center Street (from Spruce Street to Ash Street)
■ Spruce Street between Center and James Street
■ Chestnut Street from James Street to John Street
All streets will reopen at 9:30 p.m.
If your car is parked on the street Saturday, it must be moved before 12 p.m. or it will be towed at your expense. In addition to this, keep in mind that if you drive down the side roads toward Center Street after 12 p.m., you may not be able to turn around.
