Wayne County Public Schools issued the following announcement on July 25.
Reminder, the Wayne County Board of Education is seeking to nominate an individual to the Wayne Community College Board of Trustees. The deadline to apply was this afternoon, but the deadline has been extended to July 29 at 5:00 PM.
The Board of Trustees of Wayne Community College is charged by the General Assembly of North Carolina with the responsibility of governing the college. The Board of Trustees functions pursuant to the statutes and regulations of North Carolina and the United States, and the policies, rules, and regulations of the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges.
