Sampson County Schools had the highest enrollment among Sampson County districts, welcoming 7,709 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.

Among the two districts in Sampson County, Clinton City Schools ranked second in enrollment numbers with 2,873 students.

Sampson County Schools roughly covers schools within Sampson County and has a main office in Clinton.

In the previous school year, Sampson County Schools also had the highest number of students among Sampson County districts.
