Town of Pikeville Police Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 10.

Today the department conducted the swearing in ceremony of it’s newest officer, Officer Frederick Smith. 

Officer Smith was presented his badge by Chief S.R. Jarman and his mother, Jennifer, had the honor of holding the Holy Bible for her son.

Join us in welcoming Officer Smith to the department and be sure to say hello when you see him out on patrol.
