Village of Walnut Creek issued the following announcement on Oct. 21.
The Village of Walnunt Creek will follow Goldsboro on the decision of Halloween Trick or Treat. If you do not want to participate, please turn off your front porch lights. This will signal to parents and trick-or-treaters that you are not participating. When you run out of candy, turn off your lights.
Halloween will be observed on Sunday, October 31 form 6pm until 8pm.
