Wayne County Public Schools issued the following announcement on Sept. 1.
Is your child going to ride a bus to or from school? Route information is available for pickup, which includes pickup and drop-off times.
If you can’t attend Open House, please contact the school to find out route information for your child.
Also, if you haven’t heard, there is a nation-wide school bus driver shortage. Our schools are feeling the impact of that shortage.
While schools and the district transportation department will be working to minimize the impact, if a driver is absent or if a bus route has a driver vacancy, routes will likely be delayed.
While this can be frustrating, your patience with our schools during these times will be greatly appreciated.
