Sampson Regional Medical Center has announced the addition of a new blood mobile to its Blood Donor Center. This mobile unit aims to increase accessibility and convenience for community blood donations by bringing donation opportunities directly to various locations.

"Our new blood mobile is a game-changer for local blood donations," stated Natalie Lamb, director of Laboratory Services at Sampson Regional Medical Center. "By bringing donation opportunities closer to workplaces, schools, and community events, we're making it easier than ever for individuals to help save lives."

The blood mobile will be operational following its dedication ceremony on Tuesday, March 4th. Lamb expressed gratitude towards local entities that have supported past blood drives and mentioned the potential for partnering with new hosts who previously faced space constraints. "This opens the door to many possible future donation sites," she added.

Equipped with a comfortable interior, the blood mobile aims to offer an efficient donation experience. Lamb highlighted that it would rotate through locations such as businesses, schools, churches, and community events.

Blood donations are crucial for maintaining a stable supply for patients requiring surgeries, trauma care, or managing chronic conditions. The medical center urges eligible donors to utilize this opportunity.
